Did you all watch Lipstick Jungle last night? I almost forgot about the show and wham!! I turned the channel to watch and give it another chance and this time around I am glad I did. In this episode they get you in to each character ’s life and give you more detail of what each lady in going through, good and bad, in their personal and professional careers. It was intriguing and hooked me in.
You have Wendy (Brooke Shields) who juggles a powerful career and yet she is trying to balance her family and marriage at the same time and I commend real women that do that today. It is hard I know. The other thing that intrigued me about her from this episode was the scandal about the book that will be published about her and how bad of a mother she is. I thought how awful! If this was a man in her position he would be seen as a wonderful person working to keep his family happy and admired as a business man. Isn’t that crazy? So I am starting to like her more and we will see how her story unravels.
Then you have Nico (Kim Raver) who is the editor-in-chief of a hot fashion magazine, and has her eye on becoming CEO. She struggles with the desire for passion from her spouse, but he doesn’t get it at all. Do you think later down the line her spouse my turn out to be gay? I know, but she gives him hints of wanting sex by the way she dresses around the home with him and he just does not get it. So . . . by accident she falls for this guy that ends up working with her in a future project with her company. What do you think will happened with her, lover boy (I can’t remember his name) and her spouse? it will be interested. Also do you think she will get tired of the bull she is dished about her position and decision making at the company she is working for now and decide to start up her own magazine? I think so, but we will have to wait and see.
Lastly, my favorite is Victory (Lindsey Price). The only reason why she is my favorite is because fashion is my passion I studied it and worked it early in life and now miss it so much since becoming a mom an deciding to put that career to the back burner for now and enjoy motherhood and family. She is the designer of Victory Ford and struggling right now since her fall collection reveal. I believe she will find her way back and find Mister right along the way. The guy she is currently with seems to be so awesome, but again we will see. hee hee. Can you believe the nerve of her old assistant the left her for another design company to design and to but the icing on the cake she took Victory’s designs and showed them off as hers. Oh no she didn’t!! karma that is all I can say. Do you think Victory will find out. I can’t wait to see.

I haven’t actually watched this show, but I see the commercials all the time. Every time I see Kim Raver, I can’t help but think how much she looks like Sarah Jessica Parker. The first time I saw Kim Raver was in 24, and thought she was Sarah Jessica Parker at first sight…lol.
