Are you ready for valentines day? What are you going to be doing this year? Dinner, movies, listen to nice music at your favorite night spot? This year if baby sitting plans don’t fall through my hubby and I will do dinner. At one point I was just going to go casual, but hell I want to dress up and feel feminine this year so I found some interesting finding this week and last week too. Normally I shop for my dress or outfit first and then I will go look for the shoes and handbag last, but I saw something so neat that I kind of shopped backwards this time around.

Out of places I was lurking around Jc Penney’s and I was in the handbag section of the store and normally I don’t shop for handbags there until I saw a Worthington bag that looked like Prada’s Ombre bag from last season remember? This was available at Neiman’s for $2270.:

in red, umber, and gray tones!! I was like oh, no they didn’t, lol. But yes they did, so I had to get on in RED for Valentines day. I was trying so hard to see if they had a pic of this bag online for you to see but it is not available yet, so I took a pic of it with my new shoes I purchase from shoes.com. The red shoes I found are by Carlos by Carlos Santana and they are smokin’ HOT!!

I love it!! The shoes I had to purchase from shoes.com again that are by Carlos by Carlos Santana and they shoes are called “Woman Police”. Awesome name!!

The metallic reptile printed leather upper in a dress slingback pump style featuring an open toe, matching leather overlay with polished metallic buckle embellishment and coordinating piping trim. The great thing I noticed in the box is a card from the company saying that 10% of this sale will be donated to Milagro (miracle) which is a charitable foundation established in 1998 by Deborah and Carlos Santana. Milagro makes grants to community based organization that work with children around the world in the area of the art, education and health. So, I was very proud to purchase these shoes.

Now that I have the awesome accessories I guess I need a dress, huh? I think since I have the bright accessories I will tone it down with a simple black dress. What do you think? Be honest :)

I found inspiration from Hedi Klum and Rhanna:

I love the simple black dresses that are short and that can show off the legs a little more which are my assets according to my hubby. As a result I found a few pieces from a few stores like macys.com and couturecandy.com that I like.

  1. A lot of valentine intrests are young people. High school and Universtity. Some even little kids (aka middle school, 12 year olds). Would you please do a page of beauty and what not to do . Hairstyles and stuff. Thanks.

  2. Hi Melissa!!

    Thanks for visiting!!

I would have to disagree about Valentines interest are for young people. You will see celebs out there tomorrow celebrating “V-days” dressed to the nines at famous restaurants, clubs, and different events. Also, I am in my thirties, married with a child, and many women my age will be out with the spouses or significant others enjoying dinner and dressed up, casual or whatever their flavor may be. So, I guess my point is you don’t have to be young to enjoy that day. You can still be fabulous and have fun on Valentines at any age.

On another note, I am so glad that you suggested to post about beauty and what not to do with hairstyles and other. You will see that more as this blog grows. That is may fav too! The hair and the face must be fabulous too :)
